karma and Kafka's cockroach

I always wonder how the former Tibetan monk and Buddhist scholar (who wrote the above book quoted above) deals with something as mundane as his actress-daughter, Uma Thurman, being cheated on by her ex (or soon-to-be) ex- husband Ethan Hawke. Or, appearing in Kill Bill.
