I write to this guy, Bill, and he expressed a vague turmoil with several of life’s challenges. I replied:
Bill,
MANY challenges? Crawling out of bed and propping oneself upright until one sits, thrump!, to eat one`s daily bread. Probably doesn`t count as a challenge. : )
I wobbled to the Oriental Theater in Milwaukee and ingested "the sea inside." Quite a good movie except for the potassium cyanide supplied for the popcorn. Very dusty. It made sneeze.
As always, River.
BILL WROTE:
potassium cyanide and popcorn do NOT go together!
I saw Kung Foo Hustle last night GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!
Bugs Bunny meets Matrix! ODD AND FUNNY
"SEA INSICE"...I can't bear 'deep' movies right now LOL

Plan to "hustle." Looks cool. Kinda of want to see the Nicole Kidman/Sean Pean/Sydney Pollack thing. She photograghs so well. I'm afraid the movie will dilute the trailer's mystery. I'm not sure if The Sea Inside was deep. I admired the main guy's unapologetic death wish. I understand his desire to die openly and I appreciated the movie's refusal to psychoanalyse him or make him especially miserable or even lonely. I've put off suicide several times. Maybe when I'm 60 or 65 (unless other means get me first... death in my family comes though strokes, usually small senility inducing strokes around age 80.) I've never wanted to live but I figure other people must do it for a reason even if I don't get it. Maybe by old age, I'll develop a zest for life.
At least I managed to go to movie this week.
Oh well, don't let me bum you out. I think you mentioned a sick boyfriend during Christmast. Is he needing you? Just wondering.
Peace, River.
